The role
As a tutor working across two sites – HMP Feltham and HMP High Down, you will play a crucial role in helping our learners develop essential vocaional skills that will serve them throughout their lives. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of each individual learner. Your passion for education and dedication to our learners' success will make you a valuable asset to our team. This is a full-time permanent role, 37 hours per week over 4.5 days. Monday - Thursday 8:00 to 17.00 with a 13:00 finish on a Friday. You would be required to split your working week across two establishments – HMP Feltham and HMP High Down. Potentially working 3 days at one site and 1.5 at another or 2.5 days at one and 2.0 at the other. Arrangements can be discussed at interview stage.
We would also consider you for this role if you wanted a fractional post, (pro rata pay) whereby you only worked at one of the above sites.
You will be working with approximately 10 learners at any time. All planning and marking are done on site within the working hours and there is not a requirement to complete any additional extra-curricular activities apart from within your working day.
