Job description
The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment.
We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We now have an exciting opportunity to join the Quality Standards
and Strategic Partnerships team as an
Academic Services Officer on
a 6 month fixed term, full time (37 hours) basis.
As an Academic Services Officer you are to work within the UCEN Manchester Directorate with a view to supporting and improving the HE provision in order to deliver high quality, student focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards in line with UCEN Manchester procedures, University regulations and the UK Quality Code for Higher Education.
To provide a supporting role in improving the academic support function of the HE provision reporting to the Head of Academic Services and to support the enhancement of the function of the UCEN Manchester Directorate in working with curriculum areas and service areas of UCEN Manchester and The Manchester College, and external stakeholders. To support and co-ordinate a wide range of administrative and quality requirements in relation to meet partner awarding body contracts, internal and external quality and standards expectations and HE admissions.
In order to do this, you will need:
L5 qualification
Literacy and numeracy to at least Level 2
Experience of working in academic services or administration in the Higher Education sector.
Understanding of HE delivery in an FE environment.
Experience gained in a goals-focused, target driven and customer service orientated environment
