This Information Advice and Guidance Advisor role is offered on a Permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. As an Information, Advice and Guidance Advisor you will be responsible providing support to the learners in custody regarding the career guidance, career planning, using guidance tools to help prisoners to identify future job choices and formulate/review their skills and develop plans to improve the skills and knowledge.
To do this successfully you’ll need to:
Must hold or be willing to work towards a level 6 Information, Advice and Guidance qualifications within an agreed time scale.
Must have Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
Must have relevant experience of delivering careers guidance, using guidance tools, conducting assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups.
Must have experience of working with groups of learners with a range of abilities.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience:
TAQA Assessor qualification in Level 3 or equivalent
Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent
Experience of providing IAG services to people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
