This is an exciting opportunity to join UCEN Manchester as a Tutor in Construction and Engineering, within UCEN Manchester’s School of Management, Digital and Engineering on a permanent, part time (18.5 hours per week) basis. * Pro Rata Salary £10,396.04 - £19,563.66.
As a Construction & Engineering Tutor you will provide supervision of your curriculum area, ensuring that you meet budget, quality and operational targets. You will deliver high quality, learner-focused education providing a secure and friendly environment in order for your students to succeed. In your role you will plan, lead and develop the curriculum area within the establishment to ensure compliance with the national curriculum framework, the integration of functional skills, best practice and quality targets.
The post holder will lead and deliver on our existing Level 4 and 5 in Construction and Built Environment and help develop our portfolio within Construction and Engineering for September 2022 and beyond. Supporting our ambition of meeting the higher-level skills needs of Greater Manchester.
In order to do this, you will need:
A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified time scale
English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism
