We are looking for a Hospitality & Catering Technician with a background in the food production industry, with excellent knowledge of catering, and previous experience of providing support in an education setting.
In this role you will support the teaching and learning objectives of planned curriculum programmes through the provision of technical support.
To be successful in the role of Hospitality & Catering Technician you will be required to:
Carry out agreed technician duties in the relevant teaching areas across sites.
Adhere to safe working practices at all times and to assist with health and safety advice and support including the delivery of safety inductions on equipment and good studio/workshop practice.
Ensure the purchase of cost-effective materials from suppliers working within stated budgets.
Manage, audit and maintain all stock and technical resources/equipment needed in the support of curriculum areas ensuring staff and students are able to utilise equipment as and when required.
The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment.
Qualification, Experience & Skills required:
Level 2 English & Maths.
Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function desirable.
Food Hygiene Qualifications.
