This Information Advice and Guidance Worker role is offered on fixed term basis, working 37 hours per week. The purpose of the Information Advice and Guidance role is to support and offer guidance and advice to learner’s smooth transition through induction, time in custody and resettlement into the community.
To do this successfully you’ll need to:
To hold or willing to work towards level 3 information, advice and guidance qualification.
To hold level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy.
Preferable to have experience of working in an Information Advice and Guidance role, conducting initial assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups
The role will be based at HMP Holme House, however the Information Advice and Guidance worker will be required to support the team by covering annual leave and other absences, by working on other prison sites in the region where the Information Advice and Guidance service is delivered. The other sites are: HMP Kirklevington, HM YOI Deerbolt, HMP Durham and HMP Northumberland. Access to transport will therefore be necessary.
