We now have an exciting opportunity to Join the largest Further Education College in the UK as a Library Officer (x2) on either a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) term time only basis or a fixed term (12 months), full time (37 hours per week) term time only basis – please specify in your application which role you wish to be considered for.
The Manchester
College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. As a Library Officer you will work as part of a team to deliver a quality library and information service which supports and facilitates learning and achievement. Support, develop and promote the library service to all college users. You will provide reference, lending and information services to users of the library including dealing with internal and external enquiries by phone or online. You will control the circulation of books and other resources; shelving returned materials, and operation of security system.
You will perform stock checks and make catalogue changes to withdraw, transfer, or receive materials as directed. This role includes Reception duties welcoming users to the library. Take payments including cash for purchases of products and services including library fines and cash reconciliation. Responsibility for security and opening / closing of the library as required.
To do this successfully you`ll need:
Level 2 English & Maths
ACLIP (Certification)
