For almost 30 years we have been helping men, women and children of all ages and abilities, in prison settings across England and Wales, to take new directions.
We have a great opportunity to join our Education team as a Cover Trainer on a sessional basis, working ad hoc hours per week specialising in Construction for Novus, our prison education provider based in the Cumbria and Lancashire region, which includes the following prisons: HMP Haverigg, HMP Kirkham, HMP Lancaster Farms, HMP Preston, HMP Wymott. The vision for the Education, Skills and Work provision is to ensure that Prisoners in our care realise their full potential through Education, Skills and Work.
This Cover Trainer in Construction specialises in the following trades: Bricklaying, Painting & Decorating and Site Carpentry.
What the role entails
As a Trainer you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality, learner-focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus policies and procedures, supporting learners and colleagues alike to ensure the best outcome for all who work within our sector.
