We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Achievement Tutor within our Creative Industries Department on a fixed term (until July 2022), part time (29.6 hours per week) basis. * Pro Rata Salary £16,633.66 - £31,301.86.
As directed by the Head of Department English, maths and Progress, manage allocated students/groups students and deliver a highly effective tutorial and pastoral programme which ensures the overall academic, pastoral, social and behavioural progress of students is tracked and supported so students achieve outstanding retention, achievement, progress and progression outcomes. You will be part of dynamic, creative team of teachers and support staff that place the student at the centre of Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the whole Study Programme. We are looking for an Achievement Tutor to join the team to work collaboratively to secure and improve student progress and attendance.
In order to do this, you will need:
A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification and subject-specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified time scale.
English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2.
A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivering in the subject specialism.
