We now have an exciting opportunity to join the Higher Education Quality Standards and Strategic Partnerships team at UCEN Manchester as an Academic Services Officer on a permanent, full time (37 hours) basis.
As an Academic Services Officer you are to work within the UCEN Manchester Directorate with a view to supporting and improving the HE provision in order to deliver high quality, student focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards in line with UCEN Manchester procedures and University regulations.
To provide a supporting role in improving the academic support function of the HE provision reporting to the Head of Academic Services and to support the enhancement of the function of the UCEN Manchester Directorate in working with curriculum areas and service areas of UCEN Manchester and The Manchester College, and external stakeholders.
To support and co-ordinate a wide range of administrative and quality requirements in relation to meeting partner awarding body contracts and internal and external quality and standards expectations.
In order to do this, you will need to have:
Excellent IT skills using Excel, Word, pdf
Keen eye for attention to detail
Be adaptable and a fast learner
Enjoy managing a complex and varied workload with excellent organisation skills
The ability or the understanding to service meetings
You will be qualified to L5 and hold at least Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
An understanding of Higher Education
Experience gained in a goals-focused, target driven and customer service orientated environment
Experience of working in academic services or administration in the Higher Education sector is desirable but not essential
