We now have an exciting opportunity to join our Careers & Welfare Department as a Careers & Welfare Co-Ordinator on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.
As a Careers & Welfare Co-ordinator you will co-ordinate and deliver an informed and effective advice, guidance and welfare service to individuals and groups of clients, to support enrolment, progression retention, achievement of learners within TMC to work and to work with key stakeholders and employers to maximise learners’ positive experience. You will work alongside curriculum, admin, finance and other support teams to co-ordinate events and activities.
In order to do this, you will need:
Level 6 Career qualification or a minimum of a Level 4 Qualification in Guidance, willing to work towards a Level 6 qualification.
Numeracy and Literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent)
Knowledge and experience of working in the Career and Guidance industry
Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of occupational, student finance and welfare matters and their implications for clients.
Ability to deal sensitively, flexibly and with empathy with clients from a range of cultural, ethnic and welfare backgrounds
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Good IT skills using a range of software packages
Excellent Data handling and analysis skills
Research skills and the ability to create materials/resources for delivery to clients
