Property Assistant
Job description
We are looking for a Property Assistant to join the largest Further Education College in the UK on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week – on a two week shift pattern, one week early & one week late) basis.
As directed by a Manager or Team Leader, open and close a range of buildings, carry out a wide range of cleaning and caretaking duties ensuring a safe
and healthy environment and be a point of contact for other staff members, in line with College policies & procedures. In this role you will;
Carry out caretaking & cleaning duties in line with the provided work schedule, or on an ad hoc basis as directed by a manager or team leader.
Complete job related documentation, such as job completion notes, stock order sheets, as required
Comply with College Health & Safety and Security requirements including but not limited to the use of risk assessment, PPE and COSHH
Ensure that all college buildings are secure at all times including the setting of security alarms and video security systems
In order to do this, you will need:
Hold or work towards British Institute of Cleaning Sciences (BICs)
Willing to work towards NVQ2 Cleaning and Caretaking Services
Manual Handling training
Risk assessment training
COSHH training
Ladder training/working at heights
