We are looking to recruit a Learning Coach to deliver functional skills Maths and English.
As a Learning Coach working for Total People you will be responsible for the achievement of Maths and English functional skills to level 2 for a caseload of learners. We deliver structured programmes online and face to face and bespoke 1-2-1 experiences all dependent on what is needed to ensure success.
This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week, however consideration will be given to any part time applications. Due to the nature of this post you must be willing to travel to various locations however this post is predominantly based in the North West.

Key Purpose
To deliver Level 2 Maths and English functional skills to large groups of learners on a weekly roll on roll off programme, with 3 days delivery, fourth day exam prep and exam. To ensure that all learners experience a high-quality learning programme in terms of content, structure and learning support. To deliver constantly good or better learning outcomes and progress by employing an effective variety of learning methods, skills development, coaching and mentoring with a self-motivated and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities include:
Manage and maintain a caseload of learners and carry out regular maths and English interventions, along with other non-vocational aspects of the apprenticeship, including welfare and pastoral support as agreed with your line manager.
To understand and agree with employers, learners and Learning Coach each learner’s starting point and skills development needs
Using Total People’s Maths and English delivery process, to agree a training plan with each learner and employer that meets those needs
To manage the delivery of the Maths and English training in line with the plan and in particular:
Facilitate regular caseload reviews of learner’s progress with the respective Learning Coaches.
To ensure that learners are healthy, safe and supported at work
To work in accordance Total People’s systems, in particular our enrolment and e-portfolio systems
To ensure all reporting activity and administration reports are owned, managed and delivered on time
Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely
Including:
Progress
Motivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
Work closely with IQA’s (Internal Quality Assurer) on best practice, development needs and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA (Internal Quality Assurance) plan.
Maintain a positive working relationship with employers ensuring progression and new leads are generated
Produce accurate and timely reports as agreed with your line manager based on your KPI’s
Contribute to the production of high-quality learning materials
