We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Animal Care Technician on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis (successful candidate will be required to work some weekends / bank holidays on a rota basis).
To carry out agreed technician duties in the relevant teaching areas across sites.
To adhere to safe working practices at all times and to assist with health and safety advice and support including the delivery of safety inductions on equipment and good studio/workshop practice.
To ensure the purchase of cost-effective materials from suppliers working within stated budgets
To manage, audit and maintain all stock and technical resources/equipment needed in the support of curriculum areas ensuring staff and students are able to utilise equipment as and when required.

In this role you will support the teaching and learning objectives of planned curriculum programmes through the provision of technical support.
In order to do this, you will need:
Level 2 Maths & English
Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function Desirable
Level 3 subject specialism and Level 3 Education/Training (PTTLS equivalent)
Specific relevant industry experience
