We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Safety Teacher to deliver engaging lessons within a prison education setting. In this rewarding role, you will deliver engaging food safety lessons to help learners develop confidence, knowledge and valuable workplace skills. Additional training and ongoing support will also be provided to enable you to teach the Industrial Cleaning Level 1 qualification in time, giving you the opportunity to broaden your expertise and make an even greater impact.
We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Hewell, working as a Food Safety Teacher. This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. Additional training and ongoing support will also be provided to enable the successful candidate to deliver the Industrial Cleaning Level 1 qualification.

Situated in the village of Tardebigge, near Redditch in Worcestershire, England, HMP Hewell is a Category B men’s prison serving the West Midlands area. It offers a range of training and development programs, including vocational workshops, educational courses, and initiatives focused on resettlement and family support.
Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will deliver engaging and high-quality Food Safety lessons which support learners to develop their understanding of safe food handling, hygiene standards and workplace expectations. You will play a key part in building learners’ confidence, knowledge and practical skills within a prison education setting, helping them to progress towards future opportunities.
