At Total People, we're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our Study Programme team and help young people aged 16-19, including learners with SEND and EHCPs, achieve their ambitions. This role is a offered on a permanent, part time (29.6 hours per week) basis. We have two vacancies available, based at our Crewe and Halton sites.
This is much more than a support role. You'll be a mentor, motivator, advocate and positive role model, helping learners build confidence, develop independence, succeed in education and take their next steps towards employment and adulthood.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with tutors and the wider support team to:
✅ Provide one-to-one support tailored to individual learner needs
✅ Help learners engage in lessons and access the curriculum
✅ Support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
✅ Encourage independence, confidence and self-belief
✅ Assist with classroom activities, learning resources and interventions
✅ Build positive relationships with learners, families, employers and external agencies
✅ Support learners to achieve their educational and personal goals
✅ Contribute to creating an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment for all learners.
What We're Looking For
You don't need to have worked as an LSA before. If you're passionate about supporting young people and can bring empathy, patience and enthusiasm to the role, we'd love to hear from you.
