The Manchester College (TMC) & UCEN Manchester (part of the LTE Group), one of the largest Further Education colleges in the UK and the largest single provider of 16 to 19 and adult provision in Greater Manchester. TMC and UCEN Manchester have an ambitious focus on delivering excellence in technical education to meet the skills needs of Manchester and Greater Manchester, responding to the region’s devolution and wider industrial growth strategy. To support this ambition, we are seeking an inspirational leader to take forward the college's Adult and Higher Education agenda.
This is a genuinely unique role of scale and complexity at the heart of Greater Manchester’s education and skills agenda. The Deputy Principal will lead the College’s strategy for all adult programmes, working with senior leaders to deliver an ambitious curriculum strategy that raises students' aspirations and meets the region's skills needs. They will ensure the successful delivery of the UCEN Manchester strategy (post DAP), including driving the development of a creative, higher-technical academic portfolio, with pathways aligned with regional needs and delivered through flexible modes of study.
We are seeking to appoint a proven FE/HE leader who is strategic and relentless in their approach to high-quality technical education, exceptional teaching and learning, and who knows how to deliver change within a fast-moving and highly complex environment. With the communication flair to influence, engage and motivate, your drive and creativity must be inspirational, with the capacity to deliver sector-leading performance.
